Culinary Passion Meets Entrepreneurship
Cindi grew up in a General Motors family. In the late 1970s, her family moved from St.Louis to Bowling Green. A few years later, her family was transferred to Michigan, but Bowling Green was always “home” to Cindi.
After working in finance and marketing, Cindi became a devoted stay-at-home mom, embracing her love for cooking good food for her family. With her boys now married and starting their own families, she has returned to her culinary roots.
Family is central to Cindi’s life. Her two adult sons and their beautiful wives, Kyle and Claire, David and Lindsey all live in the Louisville area. She and Steve married in March 2023 and their family continues to grow. In her spare time, Cindi enjoys gardening, cooking, spending time with family, friends, and friends who are family.
In 2019, Steve and Cindi launched The Groovy Gus Donut Bus, a food truck that combined her love for cooking and entrepreneurship. Groovy Gus was welcomed with open arms by the community and even landed them a spot on a Guy Fieri show on the Food Network. They expanded their business to include a storefront in Bowling Green.
Last fall, Cindi and Steve introduced chicken salad in the shop and it has taken off! So much so that the donuts are back on the food truck and they are excited to introduce “Hippie Hen Chicken Salad.”!
Cindi looks forward to creating new flavors and expanding their product line at Hippie Hen Chicken Salad.
